What Have You Heard About The IChooseLife Foundation?

We are an NGO and we care about promoting mental, physical and emotional health of Young people.

In 2020, we launched an event, MyNigerianDream, to be held every October to celebrate Nigeria's Independence Day. This event is geared towards spotlighting young Nigerian talents and creating a platform for them to get showcased and celebrated.

Last year's MyNigerianDream 1.0 was centered on the Creative Arts industry and was marked by a contest and themed "Time to Blow".

This year, for MyNigerianDream 2.0, we had our lenses fixed on the Fashion and Sports Industries and there we had "Beauty, Brains and Brawn" as the theme of this year's event.

On 7th of September, we made an announcement across our social media platforms for a fashion competition to mark the Independence Day Celebration. We welcomed entries from fashion designers all over Nigeria and received a total of 268 entries.

The entries were collected in form of videos made by the entrants telling their stories briefly and showcasing their creations. On 28th October, applications into the contest closed and there began an intensive selection process. Experienced fashion curators were selected as judges for the contest and after a rigorous process, 30 top performers were selected out of the 268 entrants.

Through these contests, young Nigerian people are able to tell their stories and share their Nigerian Dream. If this isn't fostering patriotism in the hearts of these young people and by extension, sowing seeds of nation building in them, then we don't know what else to call this.

At IChooseLife Foundation, we are for all young people. We still believe in our Nigerian Dream and we Choose Life!
