Our Core

The objectives of the ICHOOSELIFE project in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development include the following

Love

To identify the characteristics and patterns of drug abuse in Nigeria, through a well-conducted research while also applying the needed methodologies and knowledge base towards bringing an end to drug abuse and also curtailing the addiction as well.

Friendship

To drastically reduce the number of young people who abuse drugs - lift and rehabilitate those who may already be addicted; so as to achieve a vast and strong community based intervention that will reduce the vulnerability of the youths to drug and substance abuse.

Empowerment

Empowerment helps in ensuring that a victimized youth who has been oriented and educated on the harmfulness of drug abuse has the necessary skill to sustain a livelihood. By so doing, it will steer his/her mind off the path of crime. A busy youth is a beneficial youth.

Innovation

Innovation in the form of creating condusive avenues for the youths to acquire new skills, trainings and tools which can gear them towards being beneficial individuals to the society.There is need to engage the school drop-out youths with an alternative so they can stay off crime.
